David S. Bouschor is a 1991 graduate of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. In 1998 he opened The Law Office of David S. Bouschor, II, P.C. in Denton, Texas. For over twenty years, David’s legal practice has consisted of Family Law, Guardianship, Probate & Probate Litigation, and Collaborative Divorce. He is a firm believer in dispute resolution through negotiation; he has proven himself to be a skilled litigator.
Prior to becoming an attorney, David received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1980. This led him to working in the oil industry for several years. He has also owned a rescue and salvage diving business.
These areas of law are especially rewarding to David as he takes an active and meaningful role in people’s lives. He prides himself on the highly individualized personal service he can offer in a small firm. This enables him to get to know his client’s full legal and personal situation so that by working as a team, Mr. Bouschor and the client can fully assess the client’s legal issues and only then help the client craft the best approach to dealing with the legal matter at hand.
David Bouschor has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Specialization since 1995.
David Bouschor is currently an active member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, College of the State Bar of Texas, Collaborative Divorce Texas, Denton County Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, the Denton County Bar Association Family Law and Probate Sections and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
David has also spent significant time training other professionals on the Collaborative Divorce process. He has shared his expertise on this topic with statewide, national and international audiences.
He is the founder of the Denton County Bar Family Lawyers Section and the Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (DCAP).
Mr. Bouschor is married with two grown children. He enjoys competitive sailing, scuba diving, and he is an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
